The Postman Pat run....

I had a really crappy night's sleep last night. I fell asleep on top of the bed at about 9:30pm after putting the kids to bed and then woke at 1am and 3am and 4 am and finally at 6:30. Grrr!

After checking the weather on the net I read a couple of blogs and have titled today's post after the evil rubbishrunner who can take credit for putting that darn song into my head!

I haven't run for 4 weeks and have felt great for a week now so a really easy run was in order. Holly the ever happy lab was dead keen to come as always. We took the coastal trail (all the while singing postman pat, postman pat, postman pat and his black and white cat. Early in the morning, just as day is dawning, Pat thinks he's a really lucky man.....) and also ran along the beach for a km or so and then out along the Sandringham Yacht club rock wall. (postman pat, postman pat, postman pat and his black and white cat. Early....) All up it was just over 13kms and nothing hurt the whole way. Woohoo!

Sadly my "queens of the tree" (see last post) have been deposed. The fallen tree was chopped up on Monday and is just firewood now. On a brighter note though we now have a couple of budding dog trainers who drop dog food along the obstacle course while pulling holly over the "jumps".

No big plans for the weekend. With Mother's day tomorrow we will be doing the breakfast and newspaper in bed thing and the slippers we bought on "The Great Shopping Expedition" last weekend will need to be wrapped tonight. Must remember to buy some wrapping paper.

Happy Mother's Day to all the readers who are also mums.

This four weeks had gone so quickly, you should be in such a great shape to start over, say more about how you miss running.... or not???

Nice way to celebrate!
